The Auburn YMCA-WEIU's Early Learning Center hosted the grand opening of its Toddler Playground on Monday.
The playground offers age-appropriate equipment, an enhanced safety surface and more, the Y said in a news release.
Its design emphasizes active play, creativity and social interaction, which the Y called key components of early childhood development.
鈥淭he Toddler Playground represents more than just a place to play," President and CEO Scott Sincerbeaux said. "It鈥檚 an environment where children can develop confidence, coordination, and social skills in a safe and nurturing setting. This project reflects our continued commitment to creating spaces that strengthen families and support lifelong learning."
The YMCA funded the project, but it is actively looking聽to secure a naming rights sponsor for the playground.
