A man has been charged with vehicular manslaughter and driving while intoxicated after allegedly striking a female pedestrian in Auburn on Friday afternoon, resulting in her death.
The Auburn Police Department said in a news release Friday night that Christopher Dewitt was driving southbound on North Street at a high rate of speed at about 1:30 p.m. Friday when his car crossed into the opposite lane and failed to stop at a signal. Police said his car then struck the pedestrian, who was in the crosswalk at the intersection of North and Lansing streets.

The pedestrian's name will not be released at this time, police said. She was brought to Auburn Community Hospital after the accident, 911 dispatchers told 人兽性交 that afternoon.
After an investigation, Dewitt was charged with second-degree vehicular manslaughter and driving while intoxicated with drugs, and issued several traffic tickets.

More charges may be forthcoming as the investigation continues, police said.
