• Ann’s Family Restaurant, 113 Grant Ave., Auburn: satisfactory (Jan. 27). Hand wash sink lacks soap and paper towels or hand drying devices. Soap and paper towels were provided to hand wash sink at time of inspection.
• McDonald’s, 198 Grant Ave., Auburn: satisfactory (Jan. 27). Ice machine located near drive-through pickup window lacks lid, creating potential for contamination. Ice accumulation noted on floor and ceiling of walk-in freezer.

• Kosta’s Bar & Grill, 105 Grant Ave., Auburn: unsatisfactory (Jan. 28). Improper hot holding of potentially hazardous foods. Observed a 1/4 restaurant pan containing approximately 15 pieces of cooked chicken breast being held on the flat top. The internal temperature of the chicken breast was between 99 and 109 degrees Fahrenheit at the time of inspection. The chicken had been cooked within an hour and was returned to the grill and heated to above 165 degrees Fahrenheit and placed in hot holding. Inadequate cooking and reheating of potentially hazardous foods. Observed salt potatoes, baked beans and gravy being reheated in a water bath on the grill flat top. The food items in a water bath had internal temperatures of between 70 to 78 degrees Fahrenheit. The temperature of the water bath was 120 degrees Fahrenheit. The food had been placed in the warmer within an hour. The three food items were placed on the grill and properly reheated to above 165 degrees Fahrenheit. and placed in holding above 140 degrees Fahrenheit. The cutting boards in the main kitchen are scarred, worn and no longer easily cleanable. Wiping cloths are not properly stored in sanitizing solution between usage. Door handles throughout the facility are covered in a film of food debris. The dedicated hand wash sink in the main kitchen is not in working order. Paper towels and hand soap are not readily accessible at the three-bay sink for staff hand washing. Water damage to ceiling tiles is present throughout the facility.
