Mildred L. Mucia, 98, passed away after a short illness on June 3, 2025.
Born in Auburn New York on March 31, 1927, Milly was the daughter of the late Francis J. and Louise Guertin Quinn. A native of Auburn, she was the valedictorian of her graduating class at Central High School. After high school, she worked for Carl M Rhodes & V Loeb and subsequently retired from BOCES (Board of Cooperative Education Services).
She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, Auburn, before relocating in 1997 to Santa Monica, CA where she joined the Saint Monica community.
Milly loved golfing, ballroom dancing, mahjong and being a member of the Mar Vista Seniors Club among other social clubs. She is survived by her daughter, Margaret A. Fulton, and two sons, John J. Mucia (Tam) of Pacific Palisades and David M. Mucia (MaryAnn) of Papillion, NE. She was also blessed with four grandchildren, Joseph D. Mucia, Gregory M. Mucia, Peter A. Mucia and Anthony J. Mucia. Milly had a special relationship with her late son-in-law's children, Paul Fulton, Lisa Preece and Janet Best as well as their children, Tess (Rico) Fulton, Emily (Quentin) Everman and their son Grayson, Ryan Shaw, MaKenzie (Taylor) Best, Tripp Best, Mallory Best.
She was predeceased by her brother Francis (Alice) Quinn, her parents and her late husband, John P. Mucia.
Services: Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at 10 a.m. at St. Monica's Catholic Church, Santa Monica, California. Internment will be in Papillion, NE.
