The Finger Lakes Drug Task Force displays cocaine, U.S. currency and paraphernalia obtained during the arrest of Reynaldo A. Ratcliffe-Sierra on June 11 in Auburn.
The Finger Lakes Drug Task Force arrested an Auburn man on felony charges Wednesday for allegedly possessing and selling cocaine.
In a news release Thursday, the task force said it arrested Reynaldo A. Ratcliffe-Sierra, 29, following an investigation into his alleged drug activities. Based on their investigation, officers obtained search warrants from Cayuga County Court for Ratcliffe-Sierra, a rental vehicle he was using and a room at the Holiday Inn in Auburn.
The warrants were executed at the hotel Wednesday, and officers found Ratcliffe-Sierra in possession of over 4 ounces of cocaine, an unspecified amount of U.S. currency, a digital scale and other paraphernalia, the task force said.
Ratcliffe-Sierra was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (a Class A II felony) and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (a Class B felony). Since he has two prior felony convictions and is on New York state parole, the Cayuga County District Attorney's Office requested that Ratcliffe-Sierra be remanded to the Cayuga County Jail.
