The black trucks that rolled into Aurora and onto the Wells College campus drew the attention of residents and, from afar, the college's alumni.
STAIR, an auction house based in Columbia County, owns the trucks. Wells College President Susan Henking confirmed to 人兽性交 the trucks were authorized to be on campus.
Wells College, which closed in 2024, will sell most of its assets, including the campus. The college has numerous artifacts that could be sold at auction.
Henking explained the auction houses have the capacity to store certain items better than the college. She reiterated, though, that nothing will be sold until the college's asset disposition plan is approved by regulators.
The college does have an inventory of what STAIR removed from the campus. If any of the items are not sold at auction, they will be returned.
Regarding the presence of the STAIR trucks on campus, Henking told 人兽性交 that "those were legitimate actions of Wells College as it pursues its dissolution process."
But Wells College alumni and community members raised concerns about the removal of unknown items from campus. The trucks' arrival this week sparked many conversations on social media about the college's plan for its assets.
Linda Schwab, Aurora's village historian, told 人兽性交 that Wells' collection included archives and art that was given, in some cases, by local families. Those assets highlight the longstanding relationship between the college and the village, she said.
"As much of this as is pertinent to the village should stay together and stay here because then people who are interested, including family and including people with a connection of any kind to the college, can visit it in a known place," Schwab said.
Although many were surprised by the presence of the box trucks, Wells signaled months ago that it would sell most of its assets. On its website, the college notified alumni that it would "conduct its disposition auctions through professional firms" and "offer advance notice to alums and invite alums, and all others, to bid when auctions open."
The college estimated auctions would not be held for several months.
