Four Skaneateles girls lacrosse players recorded a hat trick on Thursday in the Lakers’ 17-4 home victory over Chittenango.
In the team's sixth consecutive win, Grace Marquardt, Lily Kennedy, Paige Willard and Mara Stanton each netted three goals. Ana Nichols and Carolina McGraw scored two each. Sophia Nichols put in one.
Marquardt dished out a team-high four assists. Sophia Nichols posted three assists, and Allie Michel had one.
Goalie Brooke Coffey racked up six saves while defending the net.
Boys baseball
Moravia 17, Newfield 2:ÌýNoah Corbett sat down 14 batters in six innings on Wednesday in the Blue Devils' win on the road. The junior surrendered one hit and zero earned runs. In one inning of relief, Jairen Francis struck out three and allowed one hit. At the plate, Carson Andrews led the way with six RBIs, four hits and two runs scored. Eli Landis had two RBIs, two runs scored and one hit. Thomas Palmer collected three hits, one RBI and one run scored, while Dillon Palmer and Francis each finished with three runs scored, one hit and one RBI. Ian Proper and Haydin Walker drove in one run each. Corbett scored three runs on three walks.

Union Springs 11, Groton 1: The WolvesÌýtallied 13 strikeouts in five innings on the mound Wednesday in their home win. In three innings on the bump, Anthony DeAngelis struck out seven batters without allowing a hit or run. Asa Brown and Aaron Johnson each sat down three batters in their one inning of relief. Monroe Community College 11, Cayuga Community College 3 (game two): Diaz racked up two RBIs, two walks and one hit on Wednesday in the Spartans’ second home loss of the day. Dolan picked up one RBI, one hit and one run scored. Michael Blowers and Luca D’Emilio each finished with one run scored and one walk. In 4.1 innings on the mound, Dylan Gordon allowed seven earned runs and sat down five batters.Ìý

Southern Cayuga 166, Marathon 183: Recording a 36 as a medalist on Thursday, Daniel Johnson led Southern Cayuga to a road win. Landon Hauptfleisch and Logan Nasholts had scores of 40 and 44, respectively. James Denman tallied a 46.
Weedsport 206, Bishop Ludden 222:ÌýBraden Wood and Owen Jeffers each shot a 38 on Wednesday in the Wolverines' home victory. James Lowery tallied a score of 39.ÌýAlessandro Sorci andÌýSamuel Lowery posted scores of 43 and 48, respectively.

Cazenovia 5, Jordan-Elbridge 4: Despite holding the Lakers scoreless in the second half, the Eagles fell at home on Thursday. Nixon Karcz scored two goals. Jayden Castaldo and Joe LaFluer put in one goal each. LaFluer also added an assist to his stat line. Goalie Carter Hudson ended with 13 saves.

Cazenovia 19, Jordan-Elbridge 18: Kelsey Brunelle totaled five goals and six assists on Thursday in the Eagles’ road loss. She also finished with 11 draw controls. Glen Sanchez came away with the top spot in the high jump (5 feet, 4 inches) and shot put (37 feet, 3.75 inches).
