Here are key names to watch on Day 2 of the 2025 NFL draft as the Buffalo Bills look for more talent with picks No. 56 and 62 in the second round. The second round starts at 7 p.m.
Defensive tackle: The Bills should have options late in the second round. They include T.J. Sanders of South Carolina, Alfred Collins of Texas and Darius Alexander of Toledo. Sanders is 6-4, 297 pounds, not a huge man to be the eventual replacement for DaQuan Jones. But he has excellent mobility for his size and is a twitchy athlete. He holds up well against the run for his size. Collins, 6-5½ and 332 has the ideal size to be a run-plugger next to Ed Oliver. He is a dominant run defender but not much of a pass rusher. Will that disqualify him in the eyes of Bills' scouts? We think it should not. The Bills need beef. Alexander, 6-4 and 305, has a good frame with long arms. He can play both DT spots. He was good at the Senior Bowl. But he didn’t quite dominate at Toledo as much as might be expected, and he will be 25 in his rookie season. Another name to add is Joshua Farmer of Florida State. He's 6-3, 305 with extra long arms. He has the size and length to clog gaps vs. the run.

South Carolina defensive tackle T.J. Sanders could be a second-round target of the Bills.
Defensive ends: It’s another deep position where the Bills have a need. Potential options include Landon Jackson of Arkansas, Nic Scourton of Texas A&M and JT Tuimoloau of Ohio State. Jackson has length the Bills love at 6-6 and 264. He had 6.5 sacks in each of the past two seasons. He’s a freak athlete. Can he become more of a sack producer in the NFL? Scourton is a raw power rusher with upside. He played a little too heavy last season, which suggests he could tap into more speed if he drops some weight. Tuimoloau is in the A.J. Epenesa mold. He is long, strong and with good power. Other edge rushers with second-round value include Ohio State’s Jack Sawyer and perhaps UCLA’s Olu Oladejo. If the Bills want to trade back into Round 3, LSU’s Brady Swinson looks like he fits their profile.
Wide receiver: The guy to watch if the Bills want to add speed is Utah State’s Jalen Royals, who is 6-0, 205 and ran the 40-yard dash in 4.42. He could be the stretch-the-field backup option the offense needs.
Safety: The position does not seem like as big a need for 2025 as DT, DE or WR. But there could be a couple good values late in Round 2, including Texas’ Andrew Mukuba and Notre Dame’s Xavier Watts.
