The Auburn Planning Board on June 3 approved Ithaca Neighborhood Housing Services' site plan application for the project at 197 North St.
The organization's application was revised to address concerns raised during the board's meeting in May and subsequent public comments. One change is to increase the number of trees along the front of the property.
Among the issues discussed at the previous meeting is the condition of the sidewalk along North Street. Ithaca Neighborhood Housing Services committed to working with the state Department of Transportation to fix the sidewalks.
The city of Auburn and the state DOT are planning to widen the intersection at North Street and Standart Avenue. The nonprofit is willing to replace the sidewalks, but wants to ensure that work won't interfere with the street improvements.
